On Saturday, March 10th, Hereford played Kings Lynn, the team that hold the second spot in the Southern League Premier Division, and lost 2-0.

Hereford FC reported: “Kings Lynn were well organised and thwarted Hereford, despite the Bulls having more possession and territorial advantage.

“Hereford hit the bar with a Reffell header in the first half and another couple of brushes in the second half but it didn’t fall for them. A set piece by the Linnets in the 58th minute, when Fryatt headed past Horsell and then 5 minutes later Hilliard made it two, forcing Hereford to chase the game.

“Mills and Smith came on in the second half but Hereford couldn’t fashion any real clear cut chances. Lynn disrupted the tempo of Hereford’s game and a physical encounter prevented Hereford’s fluency which we have been accustomed to.

“Despite the loss of points today Hereford are seven points clear from second placed Kings Lynn and a game in hand. Hereford have 11 matches left.”

Final score: Hereford FC 0-2 Kings Lynn.
