Ross Juniors Football Club held an introduction to girls football, for children aged between five and 11 years on Thursday, August 5th. The youngsters received coaching from Paul Hughes and Jamie Pitman.
Ross Juniors Football Club were awarded the Herefordshire Football Association’s Chartered Standard Club of the Year for the second time in three years, recently.
The support and encouragement given to girls’ football was one of the reasons cited by the Football Association panel, which selected the Club from a shortlist of three nominations to win the award.
The panel praised the club’s excellent work in growing the game in the local community, mentioning the club having men’s, women’s, veterans’, boy’s and girl’s sides, providing football for all age groups.
