The U12 Herefordshire Girls team at Ross Juniors have been awarded, by the league, the Sally Lloyd Respect Award.

This has been jointly awarded to them with Ledbury, based on the match report forms that all teams have to complete after a game. On the ‘Respect’ criteria, scores are for behaviour on the pitch (both teams to each other and officials) and behaviour around the pitch (all coaches and spectators).

A spokesperson for Ross Juniors said: “We found out that all of the teams’ scores and comments were positive for the whole season and rather than trying to find a deciding judging criteria, the League are awarding a cup each to both teams. This is a great achievement for everyone involved with our team.”

The cup was presented at the Girl’s Finals Day on May 6th at Edgar Street.”See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
