The Ross Gazette recently published some old photographs of the Ross Gunners Football Club, in the edition of May 4th 2016. A local man, Garry Davies, who was himself a member of the Football Club, brought in some information, identifying himself and his former teammates.

He said that the photographs were taken after Ross were crowned the Monmouth League Winners. The photos were taken at the Ross-on-Wye Motor Sports Club, on Kyrle Street, in around 1968.

Pictured in the photo, are (back row, from left to right) David James, Shaun Harris, Paul Billington, Steven Lewis, Geoffrey Moody, Garry Davies, Paul Hoveridge, Regie Fishpool, Martin Bundy, and Phillip Creed, (pictured front row left to right) Lancehy Harris, Kenwy Ellis, Terry Miles, Colin Brookes, Philip Auborly, (pictured sitting around the table from left to right) Frank Powells, the Chairman, Rowland Davies, the team manager, and Jim Finney, a Fifa World Cup referee.
