Ross-on-Wye U8s kicked off their season at home to Belmont Wanderers with a convincing 10-0 win, on Sunday, September 20th.

The girls showed fantastic determination and technique, with good passing and dribbling skills on display.

Kate was named girl of the game for her tireless work throughout the game, fighting to win the ball at every opportunity. Elsie made her debut and played some great football, scoring five of the ten goals. Kara worked hard in defence, letting very little past her and, as ever, Summer was brilliant in goal, saving several good shots. Amelia tackled well throughout, with an impressive run the length of the pitch and goal to finish the game. Ella also scored a great goal and performed well throughout, displaying great confidence. Lexi, at just five years old, fitted into the team brilliantly, bravely taking on players much older than her and showing great potential for the future.

Ross Juniors under 8 girls (years 1-3) train on Monday evenings (5-6pm) at Ross Sports Centre in Wilton.
