ROSS Juniors?U10 Colts faced Belmont in their first game of the new campaign, in a tough fixture they losing 8-1.

The Ross Team are playing a year up this season, with 40 minutes games instead of their usual 20 minutes.

Before they knew it, Ross were 5-0 down to a well drilled Belmont side.

The visiters came out stronger in the second half and got a goal back after good interplay between Isabelle Clarke and Jenna Evans set Alisha Downing on her way, who beat her defender before slotting the ball past the goalkeeper.

The new length of fixture showed in the final moments as Ross began to tire and Belmont scored three more goals in the final ten minutes.

Playing a year up is a bug challenge for this Ross side but the experience can only make them a stronger team.
