Ross Juniors U12s played hosts to a strong Tenbury team on a frosty Sunday morning last weekend.

Tenbury opened the scoring in the first quarter but Ross kept their heads up and battled well. There wasn’t much between the two teams but some sharp finishing saw Tenbury add two goals before half time.

Early in the second half Jayden broke through the Tenbury defence and pulled a goal back for Ross. Tenbury responded with a goal but Ross kept going forward in search of more goals. In the last quarter Bill scored a great goal from outside the box to make it interesting but Tenbury scored a late goal to make the victory safe.

Despite the result, the home team’s performance was a great improvement compared to the last time these two teams met. All the boys played great in the game and the teams were quite even. The team as a whole kept to the task at hand and performed brilliantly. Bill held the defence very well and managed to get on the score sheet. The Saltrock Scaffolding Man of the Match award went to Jake Talbot who had a particularly good game.
