Ross Juniors FC Ladies won the first ever Herefordshire Women’s Development League recently and were presented with the winner’s trophy at a presentation BBQ at Ross Sports Centre.

The trophy was presented to them by the CEO of the Herefordshire FA, who was very complimentary about the team, saying: “Excellent organisation, dedication and hard work won you this title. Well done!”

Player Michelle Kings and proud sponsor of the kit via Kings Accountancy Ltd, added: “We have played really well this season and battled hard and it’s so rewarding to be crowned as champions. I would encourage any newcomers to come along and join this friendly team. Since I joined I have learnt so much about football from the excellent coach and I am a lot fitter now as well.”

Ross Juniors FC has the largest female section in the county and next season they will have 10 female teams from age 8 to adult in the club. Anyone interested in joining the Ladies team should contact Jim Loftus on 07903 010475.
