For the second week in a row, Ross Juniors scored an impressive victory against visitors from the Midland Junior Premier League.

Saturday’s opponents were Central Ajax from Warwick who put up a spirited performance, but couldn’t stop the Juniors’ smooth passing game and sharpness in front of goal.

Ross started well with both Joel Nicholls and Luke Firkin coming close in the opening minutes and the first goal came when both strikers linked up to put Luke one-on-one with the goalie, who he beat to score.

The Ross midfield was producing some fine play, especially through Nathaniel Nash and Jordan Suttie, and it wasn’t long before they scored again, this time through Kane Nicholls. On the half hour Ross extended their lead to three when Elliott Peeters-Vanstone struck a fizzing free kick that beat the whole defence.
