Ross Juniors U11 Girls held a charity race night last Friday to raise funds for their new kit.

All the girls who were able to attend on the night helped out during the evening, on the door, on the raffle or by selling some delicious home made cakes.

This was a considerable effort on their part as they had just gone through all the emotions of leaving their primary schools earlier in the day.

The event raised just over £700 and was made possible by some fantastic local companies who sponsored the races as well as donating some fabulous raffle prizes. The whole team is extremely grateful for the generosity also of everyone who came on the night and who made this event possible.

There is now a 6 week summer break and then back to training at the beginning of September as well as preparing for their move up to High School.

Team member, Violet said: “This has been a great night for us, we are so lucky”.

Fellow team mate, Hazel, echoed that saying: “We all had such fun doing everything and it was an enjoyable experience to raise all this money ourselves.”
