On Thursday, April 12th, it was grey, it was raining, it was bleak - but this did not deter Ross Juniors’ new SSE Wildcats at all.

An impressive 14 girls turned up for the first session, ranging from 5-11 years old. With a further seven starting next week, it is a great start for the newest section to the club. There were many future Alex Scott’s, Kerys Harrop’s and Fran Kirby’s in attendance.

Warm up drills were followed by fun games and a match. Goals a plenty were scored but the Wildcats are under strict instructions to improve their goal celebrations for next week!

The girls were thrilled to learn at the end of the session that they have fun Wildcat books to complete and a trip is planned for the girls to play football at Play Birmingham, and then have food and a party before watching Birmingham City Ladies at St Andrews.

The Wildcat sessions continue next Thursday, April 19th, from 6-7pm at Ross Sports Centre, new players welcome.
