The Ross Juniors Men travelled away to Bream Amts res on Saturday and came away 3 - 0 winners meaning that they are now joint second in the table.
After players letting the team down last minute it was a good result to come away with the three points. Ross started the game on a positive note and passed the ball around well.
It wasn’t long before chances came Ross’ way, but the final ball just wouldn’t go into the back of the net. Ben Gardner had the perfect chance off a Paul Wooding corner but headed it just over the bar.
A penalty was awarded for a foul on Brad Wooding on the half hour mark, Paul Wooding stepped up to slot it home past the keeper to make the score 1 - 0. Ross kicked on from this and with midfield Jack Bray, Billy Jenson and Wooding all trying to make the break through it stayed at 1 - 0 at half time.
In the second half Ross was facing up hill but the ball was still still being passed around really well with some nice one touch football. The ball got played down wing to Brad Wooding, he ran into the box and smashed it across the keeper into the top of the net to make it 2 - 0.
A substitution was made and winger Jack Jennings came off for Luke Harris. There was not much of a threat from the opposition and the back line of Jaime Jones, Wayne Husbands, Alex Malsom and Shaun Aston keeping it tight at the back, Keeper, Gee Saunders had very little to do.
Sub Harris soon made it 3 - 0 with good link up play from the midfield.
The Physio and Health Matters Man of the Match went to Jaime Jones for a good performance at the back.
Ross are at home on Saturday against Mushet and Coalway 2.30pm ko.
