Ross Under 9s were on the attack from the whistle in their game against Westfields. Luca had a header hit the cross bar, then shortly after he played a through ball to Jakson who calmly slotted in the first goal.

Zak cut the ball back to Jakson, who smashed in the second from mid field. Zak’s energy was boundless as he attacked from the back all the way up the pitch on a number of occasions.

His commitment was rewarded as, at last, he got his long overdue first goal, tapping in from short range. Gabriel and Tom continued their partnership in defence, with one always covering as the other pushed up.

Playing inverted wingers, Archie and Zak were able to cut inside and threaten often. Luca, stealing the ball from a Westfields attack, turns, runs and flicks in the fourth.

Niall’s great run of form continued as the Fox got a goal with his first touch of the game.

Zak added to his tally with a second goal, then shortly after he got his hat-trick, having been played in by Niall.

Luca went in goal to enable Louis to play outfield, which he did with aplomb.

However, Westfields then got a goal from an unstoppable free kick ending Ross’ run of clean sheets. Jakson finished off proceedings with his hat-trick, seeing Ross comfortably win the game 8-1.
