Ross Juniors U11s and a combined U12 team took a trip to Wotton-under-Edge on Saturday for some friendlies against Wotton Rovers, before going on a stadium tour of The New Lawn, home of Forest Green Rovers.
While the teams were there, they also met some players before the National League match against Maidstone United.
In glorious sunshine, a mixed U12 Ross team took on a Wotton Rovers U12 side, that had only lost two games all season, so were up against it, but they did great. The game remained close for a good 40 minutes before the hosts scored late goals to confirm their victory.
At the same time, a mixed Juniors and Royals U11 team took on Wotton Rovers U11s and won comfortably, although their hosts did threaten to make a game of it early on.
