Ross Juniors had great success this weekend. The U10 boys, pictured right, won the County Football Futsal tournament at Point 4, qualifying for the West Midlands regional finals in Birmingham.

A spokesperson for Ross Juniors said: “Tremendous effort boys and coaches, five out of five wins saw them finish top of the competition.”

In addition to this success, the Men’s Reserves won 4-2 to Orleton playing away.

The boys U8s Junior and 9s Royals and Colts had mixed results but the day was full of learning, developing, competing well and, most importantly, having fun. The U10s Junior and Colts girls also did well in futsal at Weobley.

Ross Juniors U12 boys and girls joined forces to play Monmouth U12 boys and girls in a very evenly contested game, and there was a great friendly atmosphere between players on both teams and fantastic football on show. Half of the goals were scored by boys and half by the girls.

Lots of other teams played too, and anyone who wants to share photos or news can email info@rossjun iorsfc.com for them to include on social media.

They have announced PACES dates for Easter and summer, running a brilliant Bristol City Women’s training camp competition and have news on some great fundraising at the pop up charity shop.

They also had their FA Community Club Chartered Standard status renewed this week too.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
