Teams belonging to Ross Juniors Football Club have had great success across the Bank Holiday Weekend. The Ross Juniors U12 girls had an awesome afternoon on Sunday, May 5th at St George’s Park.

Playing on the David Beckham, pitch the girls had six games, four against teams from Arsenal player performance centre and also against Shifnal Europeans.

A spokesperson for Ross Juniors said: “It was a brilliant afternoon of football and a great way of finishing an action packed weekend of football. The performances from the Ross girls were excellent and they gave a fantastic account of themselves.

“A massive thanks must go to Arsenal FC for organising and the invitation.”

One of Ross Juniors’ newest teams, the U8 Colts, also had a great day on Monday, May 6th.

In the morning, the girls won their cup final at Edgar Street 1-0. A goal from Talullah gave Ross the win in a very tough game against a great side from Tupsley.

A spokesperson for Ross Juniors said: “Every single girl on the pitch worked their socks off for the team and all were superstars.

“The girls are a brand new team formed from last year’s Wildcats by Cat who has done an amazing job in coaching this bunch of nutters! Girls you are awesome.”

The U10 Colts girls also had their cup final at Edgar Street, and the U12 girls were at Edgar Street too, where a Ross Juniors spokesperson said they ‘did themselves and the club proud.’
