Ross travelled to Harrow Hill to play their B side on Saturday and came away with a 10 - 1 win.

After not playing since the end of November due to the weather, Ross was glad to get back to pitch action. Ross started strongly, on the boggy pitch, with chances going just wide and over the bar. But after 20 minutes of play Jack Bray got the first goal, after Callum Trotman passed the ball to him on the edge of the box.

Jon Woodward had the ball played to him from Callum McCulloch just past the half way line, Jon made his run into the box to shoot and score to make it 2 - 0.

Ross seemed to have the edge and a lot of the play was in the Harrow Hill half. The third goal came from Trotman after McCulloch battled in the box to play through to him.

Just before half time Ross had a corner which eventually fell to Trotman, who had time to turn and get his shot away to make it 4 - 0 at the break.

When the second half kicked off Ross was quite comfortable. They were playing the best football they could considering the conditions, with the heavens opening up at times.

It was soon five-nil with Ben Gardner playing a ball from the back up to Brad Wooding for the striker, who played it back to McCulloch to score. Some fresh legs came on, with Jack Jennings and Kristian Milnes replacing Luke Harris and Chris Woodward, who had both played well.

Wooding scored his first after the substitutions were made, with him and Trotman playing ball to each other in the box and past the Hill’s defenders.

After putting in a well-played shift, Dave Nicholls made way for Toby Alexander. Minutes later the two strikers linked up well again, with Trotman heading the ball to Wooding, who then dinked it over the keeper.

Alexander then made it eight, with McCulloch yet again providing the assist.

Ross had a corner, and after Harrow failed to clear it, the ball fell to Gardner, but the ball rebounded off his own player. In the last 10 minutes of the game Wooding achieved his hat-trick and McCulloch also got his second goal.

Physio and Health Matters Man of the Match went to Callum McCulloch.

On Saturday Ross are away to Milkwall Reserves, a 2pm ko.
