Fownhope have returned to form after a disappointing start to their Herefordshire Premier League campaign. They followed up their 6-2 HFA Charity Bowl thrashing against Weobley, on September 21st, with a 2-0 win against to Pegasus Reserves.

These two fixtures were Fownhope's first games of the season to be played at home, at The Recreation Ground and home comforts clearly agreed with them.

On Saturday they prevailed in a tight match with late goals from Matt Davis and Ben Price. In a tight first half goalkeeper Sam Lewis made some good saves to ensure that the teams went in level at half time.Half time substitute Elliot Jones made the difference. He gave a real boost to Fownhope's creativity and Fownhope started to create chances. Matt Davis opening the scoring on 70 minutes and ten minutes later Ben Price doubled Fownhope's lead. There could have been more goals for Fownhope in the last five minutes as Pegasus pushed forward for a goal, but they will be glad to get back to winning ways in the league.

The bottom half of the Premier League now looks tight with just three points separating eleventh place and fourth. Fownhope currently sit 10th.

There was also good news for FOwnhope's Reserve team as beat Civil Service 3-2, to move up to third in Division Two.
