Volunteers donned their wellies and picked up a shovel or a brush on Friday morning to clean up the mess at Ross Rowing Club left by last week's floods. The waters finally receded on Thursday which allowed the clean up to begin. The operation, which has become a well worn shirt for many of the Rowing Club's members, saw them clearing off the fine layer of mud and silt left across the steps and the car park.Luckily for the Rowing Club the water levels peaked just inches short of breaching the boat house, and there was no lasting damage done.
