Morgan Baynham-Williams, an athlete from Ross Rowing Club, recently raced for Great Britain in the 2018 FISU World University Rowing Championships, which took place in Shanghai, China.

Morgan, along with her team, who represented Team GB, took home a gold medal in the Women’s Eight race.

Five boats rowed in the preliminary race and GBR were the fastest crew, coming in with a time of 6:36.75 on Friday, August 10th.

In the final on Sunday, August 12th, GB won again with a time of 6:19.03.

The World University Rowing Championships are a huge stepping stone for senior rowers hoping to break into Great Britain’s Senior team who train for the Olympics.
