Long-time Ross Motor Club members, Simon Harris and Russell Joseph, tackled the famous LeJog (Lands End to John O'Groats) Reliability Rally recently. The event is for cars built before 1984, so Simon's VW Golf slotted nicely into Class G for 'modern classics'. The oldest cars were a 1952 Alfa Romeo and a 1954 Jaguar XK120.

The competitive nature of the event is split into three types of section, with 23 Speed Tests on private land and a 70 mile road rally through parts of mid-Wales being two.
