Ross Golfer, 17-year-old, Niall Powell is the Herefordshire Boys 2014 County Champion, in the under 18 category, after he achieved a gross 76 medal score in blustery and difficult scoring conditions.

His success at the Ross course enabled him to win back to back last year's championships in two different counties in two different age groups.

It also means that Niall, who is Ross Juniors Captain with a 5 handicap, and a pupil at John Kyrle Sixth Form Centre Academy, will be able to defend his under 18 title in 2015, which is quite an achievement.
