The South Herefordshire Seniors won a very close match at Kington 3.5 - 2.5. Most of the matches were very close encounters.
Captain Rees and his playing partner Hammett managed to lead from the front and had a 2 &1 victory despite the opposing captain carding 12 pars.
There were wins for Doug Frape and Keith Nind 6&5 and Fred Cook and Bob Chance 2&1. Malcolm Connah and Ian Fanning halved their match. There were losses for Geoff Eyres and John Wynne 2&1 and Mike Boutcher and Pete Wilson 3&2.
The Senior Celts were unable to hold on to their lead on the final day of the annual Rider Cup. The singles ended in an emphatic win for the Saxons making the final points score 23 - 19 in their favour thus retaining the trophy.
