There was a tremendous turnout of 66 players, including club members and former work mates from Dowty, Gloucester, for the Anniversary Memorial Golf day in honour of Martin Bilby, on April 2nd at South Herefordshire Golf Club.

Organised by Martin’s partner, Erica, over £750 was raised for St Michael’s Hospice. Erica would like to thank everyone who attended, especially Sarah and Paul (PGA) who run the club in Ross-on-Wye, Jayne Woakes who ran the raffle, Colin Woakes, who started everyone off on their 18 holes and Will Jones, who presented the prizes.

It is hoped that this will become an annual fundraising event for the Hospice.

The results of the golf were as follows; Individual Winner: Michael Long (Dowty), Second: Tommy Goff, Third: Tony Prewer (Dowty). Team Winners: Julian Blewitt, Tommy Goff and Tony Green, Second: Martin Latham, Paul Willets and David Linnie, Third: Jim Bland, Val Bland, Deb Hill.

Nearest the Pin were John Hall and Anita Leaver and the winner of the Longest Drive were Julian Blewitt and Lesley Colquhoun.
