TERRY Gibson won the seniors summer singles defeating Peter Atkins 3&2 in the final. Terry then followed up his success on the club tour to Telford achieving a hole in one on the 16th 180yds par 3.

The tour party of 34 celebrated such an achievement in festive mood, thanks to Terry’s generosity. The overall tour champion was Peter Sawyer, runner up Peter Chapman and Simon Rutter was third. The team is very grateful to captain Fred and his helpers for their efforts in organising such a successful tour.

Laurie Cork and Steve Broderick won the summer singles against Jeremy Parkes and John Ryland 4&3. Further, Laurie Cork was presented with the Golfer of the Year trophy and Chris Burgess was named clubman of the year.
