A large group of 45 South Herefordshire seniors braved the stormy weather on their away day at Morlais Castle. The downpours almost caused the cancellation of the captain’s away day, however, after a wet front nine the rain subsided and the competition was completed in the dry. Mike Godwin was a clear winner of the Brian Bishop Cup with a stableford score of 36 points.

The divisional placings were as follows: Division 1: 1st Mike Godwin 36pts, 2nd Henry Rivers 32pts, 3rd Jonathan Davies 32pts.

Division 2: 1st John Wynne 33pts, 2nd Andy Dee 32pts, 3rd Pete Wilson 30pts.

The team competition was won by Mike Godwin, John Wynne and Graham Morris. Runners up were Malcolm Connah, John Davies and Andy Dee. The nearest the pin prizes were won by John Tecke, Geoff Eyres and Mike Godwin.
