Tom Shotton has continued to perform at a very high level in a number of recent competitions. In addition to winning performances for the South Herefordshire Men’s team plus an early season Medal win, he shot an excellent net 67 off a handicap of 7 to win Division 1 of the May Medal. Alongside this, there were notable performances from Jon Tookey and Paul Stone with net 68, both off handicaps of 5.
Division 2 was dominated by Andrew Dee, Harry Porter and Phin Parsons with net scores of 67, 69 and 72 respectively.
The May Stableford competition saw a top three in Division 1 of Joe Lawrence, Harrison Middleton and Julian Blewitt with Steve Heard, James O’Brien and Shane Wallace in the top three of Division 2.
Meanwhile, in the Seniors section, the annual Saxons v Celts event took place, which was played over consecutive Wednesdays, SHGC wish to thank all those taking part over the two days.
Unfortunately a very un-Braveheart like performance from the Celts saw them lose by a massive 9 points.
However congratulations goes to captain Bob Chance and his team – it won’t happen again!
The Seniors continued their friendly fixtures with a home game against Kington – excellent conditions saw a very enjoyable match finally drawn 3-3, with very tight games throughout.
