The South Herefordshire Seniors Open was won by local member Graham Morris with a stableford score of 43 points, Richard Hoare was runner up with 41 points and Mike Bourne, also on 41 points, was in third place.
The visitor’s prize went to Chris Nick of Rodway Hill with 40 points and Scott Thompson of Ross was runner up with 40 points. The nearest the pin competitions were won by Andrew Swift (Wernddu), John Harper and John Tecke.
The Seniors away match at Naunton Downs was a close encounter with the home side victorious 4.5 to 3.5. There were wins for Peter Chapman and Tony Haile 6&5; Richard Hammett and Graham Morris 3&2; and Eifion Rees and Jim Delahay 2&1.
Geoff Eyres and David Rippe halved their match. Fred Cooke and Peter Sawyer lost 5&4 as did Mike Bishop and Simon Rutter. Mike Boucher and Keith Nind lost 4&3.
