Paul Stone, who won the Herefordshire Seniors County Championships last year at his home club South Herefordshire, defended his title this year at the Ross Club and won.

He made a gross score of 77 to win by four shots clear of second place Steve Wallbank (Ross) with 81 gross and Andy Smart (Kington) on 82 in third place. Joseph Sutton (Ross) had the best nett score 85-16-69, Tommy Hughes (Herefordshire) was second 83-11-72nett and third was Harold Beach 90-18-72.

The resuts for the age group 55-64 years – 1st Neil Lancett (Ross) 74nett, 2nd Mike Privett (Leominster) 75nett, 3rd Dave Williams (Herefordshire) 75nett.

In Age Group 65 +years – 1st Malcolm Clark (Leominster) 73nett, 2nd Malcolm Davies (Leominster) 74nett, 3rd Keith Lister (Kington) 74nett.
