Ross Golf Club’s Huggett Putter annual knock-out event is in its sixth year, after Brian Huggett, who played in six Ryder Cups and was Captain of the Great Britain/ Ireland Ryder Cup Team in 1977 kindly and generously initiated it the event.

For the first time, the annual knock-out challenge took on board a new format, with separate competitions in place for the men and women, and this proved highly favourable with increased numbers taking part in knock-out matches throughout the summer.

This resulted in an evening which saw two Putter Finals taking place for members to support and cheer on their favourites, followed by an engaging Man v Lady final to decide the 2019 Huggett Putter Champion.

The ladies knock-out event which involved 47 members taking part at the outset enabled Lady Captain Sally Lawrence to celebrate her year by reaching the ladies final after defeating Carol Smith before having to face Lois Price in the final.
