The third race in the Herefordshire cross country summer series was held at Westhope, Canon Pyon, on Wednesday evening. The race is one of the quicker races in the series with only two significant climbs, the rest on the course running through Orchards and grassland.

Fears about not being able to pull a team together were allayed as James Fletcher arrived to complete the team with Emma King, Andy Stephens and Barry Davies ready to run.

It was another good night for Welsh Newton Common's Andy, finishing the 5.25 mile course in fourth place, 33m 30s.
