Ross ladies A team travelled to Bromsgrove to play their A team this week. The team was expecting a cold wet match, but found the glaring sunshine almost as tricky as their opponents.

The first Ross pairing, Sarah Drake and Brenda Saunders had a tough match against Bromsgrove's first couple and lost the first rubber 2:6, 2:6.

Their second match was a much closer game, but despite some great volleys and smashes from the Ross pair, Brenda and Sarah lost in a tight third set 2:6,6:4,4:6.

The second Ross couple, Jane Pepperell and Gaynor Raine had a similar experience. They had some long and exciting rallies with the first couple and lost 4:6,4:6 but managed to get a set from the second Bromsgrove pair, losing 3:6,6:2,1:6.
