On the morning of Friday, July 27th, some of Goodrich Tennis Club Ladies team and club coach, Mike Buck, swapped their tennis rackets for sweeping brushes and got on with the task of sweeping 12 bags of sand into the carpet surface of Court No. 2.

This proved to be a novel way to warm up before some very enjoyable tennis was played, followed by liquid refreshments at The Hostelrie, which is situated just down the road from the tennis courts.

Everyone agreed it had been a highly successful morning’s activities.
