There was considerable support from all sections of Ross-on-Wye Golf Club when Club Captain, Clive Whitson held his Annual Captain’s Day event, a singles stableford which attracted 134 entrants.

Graham Jell, 18 handicapper, chose the best possible occasion to produce an impressive performance and with eight pars to his name, the resultant 44 points total made him a clear winner and enabled him to receive the day’s top prize.

Seniors Vice Captain, David Williams added to his good form, and his 42 points got him the runners-up title just getting the better on count-back from Colin Price and Bob Baker who also scored 42 points each.
