Five local kart racers, who are all members of the Lucky Break Kart Racing Team took part in the 24 hour Kart Challenge at Jurby Raceway on the Isle of Man. Two teams were entered this year, in the 160 and 200 classes and they came away with an excellent win. The race began at 12 o'clock on the Saturday and in the early hours team 160 struggled for pace, they were 7th on 173 laps while the leader Brassick were doing their 184th lap. As the evening closed in and the rains came they pulled back several places. Just before day break the leader crashed out, bending their axle, so the Lucky Break team were on the chase with a lot to do to overall. Full report in this week's Gazette.
