This year’s Jack’s Dash 11k race took place on Saturday, August 25th with double the number of entries on last year. The race is run from the Garway Moon to the top of Garway Hill and back. Competitors came from as far away as Warrington to run what is probably the toughest, but also the prettiest 11k race in the UK.

The winner was Toby Dickens from Monros Trailblazers (43.14). Second was local runner Rob Nicholls, Spirit of Monmouth runners (43.6). Third was the previously undisputed champion Andy Stevens, also from Monros Trail Blazers (44.50).

The winning lady was Clair Malinder, from Hereford Couriers (57.06).

This annual event is organised by Sam Weale and raised £380 for Midlands Air Ambulance. A calendar will be on sale later this year in aid of this charity and featuring the Garway Calendar Lads.
