athletes from JKHS competed for a place in the Hereford District athletics squad and 18 athletes finished in the top three places to gain selection for the squad. Pride of place goes to Luke Clarke in Year 9, who won all three of his events in the Junior Boys competition. He ran 100m in 11.24 secs, the 400m in 55.95 secs, and managed 5m 36cms in the Long Jump breaking several school records in the process. In the High Jump, two school records were broken. The first by A Probyn (Yr 9) with a jump of 1m 53cms and the second by H Abbott who cleared 1m 75cms to take gold in his first ever high jump competition. The Maisey brothers Dan and James cleared up in the Shot Putt with a new school record and personal best for Dan (Yr 9) of 12m 77cms, and a throw of 11m 78cms by his older brother James (Yr 11) who also won the Discus in 25m 81cms.
