The John Kyrle Year 8 boys team were crowned Herefordshire County Champions Seven Rugby Team last week. The team, coached by teacher, James Morgan, were triumphant in the event which was held at Wyeside, Hereford.

The boys beat teams from Aylestone and Bishop's Schools in the group stages and were victorious against Hereford Cathedral School in the knockout phase to reach the final.

In the final, John Kyrle beat Wigmore 31-5 to take the trophy.

Mr. Morgan said: "The boys had shown great team spirit and determination to win the competition and especially to beat the runners up with such an emphatic score in the final."
