Ross Juniors Sunday beat Welsh Club 7-3 away. The morning did not start too well, as many players were ill after the previous night, some did not turn up, the team went to the wrong ground, the balls were left behind. It was Sunday morning football at its best. On arrival at the correct ground it appeared that the grass had not been cut all season so the team knew that their normal fluent passing football would be an issue.
The game started with the hosts in the ascendancy. However, Dan Morris in goal held everything. Ross took the lead in the 16th minute, Adam Beaumont took a quick throw in to midfielder Will Barker, he ghosted past a defender and smacked the ball into the roof of the net from 28 yards with his left foot.
This settled Ross down and Carl Roberts went close with an effort. Chris Davies smacked the post in the 21st minute from a free kick and the rebound fell nicely for kid brother Matt but he missed a sitter.
