Ross Juniors Sunday beat Orleton 6-3, after a long trip to Shropshire. Ross were switched on from the start and Ben Hall set up Damon Beaumont but his shot struck the post early on.
Chris Davies and Andy Francis both went close as Ross applied the pressure. But after 21 minutes Orleton broke and scored. However within two minutes Ross equalised. Eli Wooding's excellent corner was blasted into the keeper from debutant Dewi Stuart and Damon Beaumont stabbed home the loose ball.
Right on half time Andy Francis was bundled over in the box, but Ted Loftus put his penalty wide.
Within two minutes of the restart Ross had made it 2-1 with a tremendous goal. Carl Roberts picked out Eli Wooding on the wing and he bamboozled the defence and laid the ball into Damon Beaumont and he made no mistake from 12 yards.
Ross were dealt a blow after 55 minutes when defender George Selwyn-James had to go off due to injury. Stand-in keeper Sam Loftus went centre half and was replaced by his brother Ted.
The substitute keeper was called into action immediately as he smothered a shot and the other debutant, full back James Colewall, was on hand to clear off the line.
