ROSS Juniors U14s scored their second home win on the bounce in a tightly fought game against Leicester Road from Hinkley.

On a frosty morning, both teams struggled with the cold conditions, but in the opening quarter Ross had most of the play, with Owain and Luke having good chances to score. The visitors were also lively in attack, forcing Josh to make several important saves, alongside some gutsy defending from William and Elliott.

It looked like no one would break the deadlock, but in added time right at the end of the first half, Ross nosed in front. Luke received the ball in the penalty area and passed to Owain, who wriggled free of the defenders to score.
