Having recently lost 2:1 to Bartestree in the league, Weston Park Juniors were eager to make amends in the final game of the group stages of the Stuart Sheehan cup. From the off it was evident that Weston Park were determined to win emphatically. Bartestree midfield were as strong and quick as usual but it was nothing that Weston couldn't handle, releasing the forwards for wave after wave of devastating attack. A strong squad of 13 ensured that changes could be made to keep legs fresh.

After going one up in the early stages, another goal just before half time found Weston in the dominant position for the second half. A third was added before Bartestree nicked on back. This Weston were not willing to accept and exacted a no-nonsense revenge firing in four more to make the final score 7:1 to Weston Park, putting them top of the group and through to the cup final.

Weston Park Juniors, now in their sixth year of junior football, are prepared and eager for cup glory.
