On Saturday Ross Juniors senior side returned to winning ways in the Journal Trophy with a hard fought 2 – 1 win against a strong Ewyas Harold side, thanks to a late Dewi Stuart goal. After going four games without a win it was an important victory for Ross.

Ross started poorly and gave away an early goal after only five minutes, some poor marking at their back post allowed Harold's right winger the space to finish past Ross' keeper Aaron Thorley. Ross then started to get a foot hold in the game, with Lee Walker in centre midfield dictating play. On 15 minutes Ross were awarded a penalty after the Ewyas Harold defender was judged to have pushed Hall in the box. Hall dusted himself down to take the spot kick but saw his weak penalty saved. It did not take Ross long to get themselves level, an excellent Densley corner was flicked on the front post by debutant striker James Reid to Jon Tookey who finished from close range to tie up the scores at 1 – 1.
