SCUBA divers from Ross Sub Aqua Club are appealing for new recruits after TRH The Prince of Wales and The Duke of Cambridge attended an event to mark the handover of the British Sub-Aqua Club Presidency (BSAC). Their Royal Highnesses met the next generation of scuba divers and snorkellers at the special reception where The Duke himself took the plunge at the Oasis lido in London's West End. Their Royal Highnesses joined around 100 BSAC members to mark the historic handover and to say thank you to The Prince of Wales for his four decades of loyal leadership at the head of the organisation. Members of Ross Sub Aqua Club, a branch club of BSAC, based in Ross-on-Wye, welcomed the official handover to The Duke who has spoken of how he hopes his Presidency will inspire his little son George and other youngsters to also take the plunge and explore the underwater world. Don Punnett, Chairman of Ross Sub Aqua Club, said: "We feel very honoured that for four decades our governing body has been led by The Prince of Wales. We now join together with BSAC clubs all over the country to welcome his son, The Duke of Cambridge, as our new President. "We feel sure it will inspire other young people to take up the sport and as an active scuba diving club ourselves, we are always on the lookout for new members. "We regularly hold Try Dives where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can come and try scuba diving and sample just a fraction of the amazing opportunities this terrific sport can offer."
