Local showjumper Issy King is building on her success with her horse known as May, Quick Whirlwind.
She had to take a little time off from jumping as she was growing so Issy decided to have a go at Dressage. They qualified for two championships, at Allens Hill and Summerhouse Equestrian, and gained a first and a second.
Then they went to their first jump show, a British Show Jumping show at Summerhouse and went double clear and came sixth out of a very big strong class
Issy is thrilled that her success has been recognised by an Equestrian Clothing company 'Little Chalk Horse' which are now sponsoring her. This is very timely as Issy has a new foal to train, May's little sister born in April. Quitah Whirlwind, was bred by May's breeder Debbie Smith, they are hoping to breed more foals to produce together to be top show jumpers of the future.
Issy, who likes to be busy, has also been to shows with a two-year-old she bought in February to train. Issy took Dazzle to the Three Counties Show where she came fifth overall and was the highest placed two-year -old.
