177 runners observed a minutes silence on Remembrance Sunday, November 9th, before the start of the second winter cross country race at Croft Castle near Leominster.
The race took place around the National Trust parkland of the castle, a challenging route beginning with a climb of one mile up to the Iron age hill fort before descending sharply through woodland and back to the start to complete a further two laps.
The MonRoss team were well represented this time with ten runners on the start line. Welsh Newton Common's Andy Stephens continued his good form finishing in fourth place in 50m 34s. He will be looking to push for a top three finish in subsequent races.
