A local resident has won gold and silver at the World Shooting Championships in Granada, Spain.
Chris Hobbs, from Ross, fought off competition from the best clay pigeon shooters in the world to win gold and a silver in two shotgun events.
Chris told the Ross Gazette: "It was quite surreal to win, I was quite lucky in the sense that I won outright and didn't have to wait around for a tie-breaking shoot-out seven days later!"
"To be honest with you it was all a bit of a blur when I was shooting, that's just how it has to be. My team could have had King Kong shoot at me and I wouldn't have noticed."See the full story in this weeks Ross Gazette.
