There was a fantastic turn out of ladies of all ages and abilities at the Leagues4you launch of the all new social netball league in Ross-on-Wye on Tuesday, January 9th.

Over 45 ladies arrived to start their exciting return to netball, with some not having played for over 25 years.

There were laughs and smiles aplenty and in no time at all the rules came flooding back and the memories of their love of netball were rekindled.

A gentle start back saw the group do some fun warm ups, skills and drills and take to the court in plenty of mini matches and it showed straight away that there is some serious talent amongst the ladies.

Some cracking goals were scored, amazing interceptions, super dodging and driving, were all taking place as the players grew in confidence, although most of all the hall was filled with laughter.

It was evident to see new friendships already starting to blossom. Everyone left wanting more and feeling excited for next week and of course, a little sweaty too.

Sessions take place in the Sports Hall at John Kyrle High School on Tuesdays, from 8pm-10pm.

All you need is a good pair of trainers and bring a drink – as all other kit and equipment is provided.

Individuals are always welcome, but the deadline to enter as a team is Wednesday, January 17th.
