Luke Jones was back riding at Snetterton 300 in the MCE British Superbike championships Round 5 at the weekend after a crash at Knockhill, Scotland on June 14th.
The injury saw Luke's hand trapped under the bike, after a fall, resulting in severed tendons and ligaments.
Luke, riding in the 600 Supersport Race on his Honda KGD, made good progress in his return to the bike, less than a month after suffering the injury. After practice on Friday, Saturday was qualifying with Luke 14th on the grid.
Luke finished in 12th place over the ten lap Race 1 on Saturday afternoon, with a time of 19:08.233, 19.534s behind race winner Alastair Seeley.
