Luke Jones was invited to ride on a Ducati 899 in the Ducati Trioptions Cup, with the bike provided by Ducati. Luke jumped at the chance to take up the ride, knowing that it might forward his chances of gaining sponsorship if he performed well.

On Friday, Luke finished first in free practice, with a time of 1:36.454 – a success in itself given this was his first time riding a Ducati.
